Chapter 25: A New Arrival, A New Departure

'You aren't alone Yahara... But you will be if I let you shut me out...' Minako thought as she and Yahara entered the palace. She was about to say something after a time, when she noticed that they were nearing the Med Ward. Upon hearing several voices, she peered in and saw Makoto, Kodia, Chenoa, Heion, Hotaru, and the two cats. They all looked like they were a little shocked about something, and Minako couldn't help but notice everyone looked a little bit healthier than they had looked the last time she had seen them.

Minako looked up to Yahara and said, "After what happened with that servant, I really have to see Artemis... And Hotaru's probably wondering if I have managed to retain at least a remnant of what sanity I have..."

Minako expected a snide comment, and when she didn't get one her worries intensified. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it a little to get his attention, "Yahara? Did you hear me?"

Yahara shook his head a little and stared at her like she was a ghost or something. Then he nodded and said, "Yes... I heard you... sorry... I always seem to space out at the wrong times..."

Minako looked at him worriedly and shook her head, sighing a little, "Maybe I should just let you rest... Why don't you go back to my room? I'll be along later--"

"NO!" Yahara shouted, animated all of a sudden. Minako blanched and recoiled slightly at his outburst. He turned a light shade of red and said, "I... I mean... I'll be fine. Don't worry about me,"

Minako shook her head and let Yahara put his arm around her again. She looked down at the ground and whispered, "How can I not?"

But despite the lack of communication (which would forever be a terrible problem for the couple), they walked into the Med Ward and prepared themselves for a barrage of questions...

They all offered various forms of shock, welcome backs, and the like. And naturally Artemis had to add his two cents, "Where the heck did he come from?!"

Minako sweat-dropped and said, "Gee Artemis I don't know what to tell ya... He just kind of followed me home... Can I keep him?" Minako giggled a little, relishing in the various face faults and sweat drops that followed.

Upon sight of Heion, Yahara became very confused... Which would later become a terrible habit with him. While Minako began talking with the others about how he came to be there again, Kodia pulled Yahara aside and explained just what had been happening as of late...

Kodia's thoughts dwell on Taurus for a time... And he quickly realizes that with Yahara back, the moon can survive if they should lose another defender. Making sure that no one else is listening, he quietly speaks to Yahara, "Please watch over Chenoa and Heion for me until I can return, there are things I have to attend to."

All but Artemis fail to notice Kodia's quick departure. He caught part of the exchange between Kodia and Yahara, and as Kodia departed, Artemis snuck out behind him, wanting to know what he is up to...

As he came to the corner of the corridor, Artemis peers around to look at Kodia.

"I am coming Taurus," Kodia muttered as he opens a portal and disappeared without another word. Artemis cursed and quickly rushed back to the Med Ward...

Artemis wasted no time in getting back to the Med Ward. Once he arrived, he swiftly hopped up beside Luna, breathing hard and not really controlling the volume of his voice...

"Luna! Kodia has left for Earth to help Sarah!"

The room suddenly falls very silent as it seems everyone overheard his remark to Luna. All are shocked to different degrees, with the exception of Yahara who knew he should have seen something like this coming...

"What is he think he is doing going all alone?" Luna responds in her usual scolding tone.

Before Artemis can even begin to form a guess, Chenoa sprang up to her feet, anger in her face. "He did this without telling me?! Oh! That man!"

Artemis walked over to her, and decided that with Kodia gone, he should probably try to calm. "Chenoa I think he didn't want you to be involved because he is still concerned about you."

Chenoa looked at Artemis with anger still in her eyes, but it softened as his words sunk in. She sighed in defeat and said, "Still Artemis, he could have taken someone with him," Chenoa responded, holding on to what little ground she had in this matter.

Artemis quickly conceded. "I will not argue that point at all Chenoa, but what do we do now? That is the question that we should be thinking about right now... Any ideas?"
