Chapter 04

The Earth
Chenoa, Kodia, Heion, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, Hotaru, Urami and Joshua all gathered at the Villa in order to ascertain what could be going on in Neo-Rome. After discussing that Chenoa had been manipulated by Draco, Michiru and Haruka voiced their objections. Chenoa tried to explain that she had been confused and vulnerable, and Michiru was willing to acquiesce to that, but she still didn't understand why Chenoa had not come to them for help when she had known that Michiru and Haruka were in town. Chenoa then responded that she wanted to stay and obtain information.

She went on to say that her information was more pertinent than any prophecy to be found in the Tome or the same one that Minako and Yahara brought back. After establishing that Chenoa knew all of this due to her ESP, Chenoa continued to say that it was Alemand Kione who terrified her into staying.

Michiru was not satisfied with Chenoa's explanations and vowed to keep an eye on her. She then raised the question of how Minako and Yahara had managed to get their hands on a prophecy on the Tome. On a whim, she tried to contact Minako on the communicator, assuming that it would not work… When Minako answered.

The Moon
Much to Minako's surprise, the notion of Lady Serenity going was actually discussed seriously. Kunzite suggested that someone go with her to keep an eye on things, and Hikari volunteered. The plan began to come together in more detail when Minako's communicator went off.

She excused herself to answer it and went outside. She was surprised to see Michiru seeing as she was still in Neo-Rome and the communicators rarely worked at such distances. Michiru relayed her concerns about the Illuminati (but never did get to talk about what had happened at the Auditorium earlier or that Chenoa was now with them) and asked Minako about the prophecy, mentioning that Urami had the exact same one in the Tome. Minako was shocked by this news and quickly put all of the facts together to realize that Yahara's brother was Illuminati. She asked Michiru to tell Urami to look for all references connecting to a man named Gowen, Lesanto's father, in the Tome, although she already knew he was there. Then she terminated the communication.

Minako was reeling from the news and had to take a few minutes to calm down. Finally, she decided to speak with Rei about it and pulled her out of the impromptu meeting in the Queen's chambers. Minako almost told Rei about the Illuminati connection, but decided Yahara had to know first. Instead she opted to tell Rei about her financial loss. Rei immediately connected it back to the Revolution and told Minako that they would discuss it at the Council Meeting the next day.

Meanwhile, while Rei and Minako had been talking, Usagi had insisted that she accompany Lady Serenity on the mission… Which presented a whole new mess of problems. They left then, deciding to hash the rest of this out at the Council Meeting the next day.

The Earth
Michiru quickly relayed the conversation to the others at the Villa. Urami knew for a fact that she would find the name in close connection with both Ermys and Hebi as the three had been friends at one time. They were beginning to sense a connection between the Revolution and the Illuminati, but Chenoa said that she could offer no answers on that matter.

She and Heion both said that they had a feeling there was more to it than that. During their time on Kamiyo, they had been with Helios. He said that he had felt a disturbance in Elysion and that was why they had returned home. They attributed it to Strife and Turmoil, who were two sisters who had ruled the Sol System for some time until Chronos and the Senshi's creators had sealed them there. According to Setsuna, they had blessed the planets and created the Sailor Senshi soon after to ensure they would never escape and to prevent any further disasters from occurring.

They decided it was possible that Alemand was somehow controlling them given his power, but Michiru was certain it was a bit of a two way street. They eventually decided that Strife, Turmoil, and the Illuminati were secondary. They needed to focus on the Rebels and nothing more. Then they retired, promising to discuss this more the next day.

The Moon
The following day, Rei called a Council Meeting to discuss the possibility of a covert operation and a few other things. They agreed that Minako's money loss was to be attributed the Revolution, and left at that as nothing more could be done. Yahara was late and missed this discussion, having overslept after hearing of Lesanto's loyalties the night before.

They went on to discuss that they knew next to nothing about the mysterious Senshi at the Illuminarium Auditorium as they had no way of finding out. This easily opened the floor for discussion about the covert operation. Once the others were briefed, it was easily decided that the Queen would not go. Even though this had already been decided upon, one new arrival had to offer in their two cents…

The Earth
The next morning, Michiru's communicator proved to be working yet again. She found the message from Rei about a Council Meeting and quickly found Chenoa and Urami. She expressed her concerns about them calling two meetings so close together. Michiru couldn't leave because of her engagements, but Urami and Chenoa immediately portaled directly to the meeting.

The Moon
At Chenoa's arrival, everything stopped, but many things were brought to light. Chenoa revealed that she had been on of the mysterious Senshi and that the other had definitely been working with the Revolutionaries. The discussed their suspicion that Strife and Turmoil were behind it thanks to Alemand's power and brought forth Cronus. They then realized that she was the reflection of the Outer Realm mentioned in the prophecy and that each Outer Senshi would have an opposing Senshi. They then got an update on everything that had happened on Kinmoku, including the prospect that the Starlights could return at any time.

They then went back to the covert operation idea. Chenoa suggested that Heion go along as well for extra assurances and the added bonuses of ESP and telepathy.

This continued until a press secretary came and got Minako to tell her that there had been an incident down on Earth…

The Earth
Back at the Villa, Hotaru had awoken from a terrible nightmare which suggested that nothing but doom was on the horizon. She screamed, causing the other Outer Senshi to come running. Hotaru then told them that she and Setsuna had to return to the Moon at once.

Michiru agreed to make the arrangements and went out to Haruka's car to get her cell phone as she could get through faster using that. She placed the car standing outside the car, when she looked in and saw a clock counting down with only eight seconds left on the timer. She recognized it immediately as a bomb, one that had been placed there by one of Alemand's cronies. She took off running, but not soon enough and was knocked unconscious by the force of the explosion.

Haruka, Setsuna, and Hotaru ran to her the moment they realized what had happened. They quickly moved back inside once they decided she could be moved.

Meanwhile, Kodia and Joshua had been out walking and have decided to go back when they started to feel something was wrong. They were tailed by none other than Alemand Kione, who followed them back to the Villa. He was about to leave when he saw a reporter burst out of the bushes, Haruka hot on his heels. Alemand wound up saving him from certain death at the hands of the Wind Senshi. In repayment, he asked the man to meet him back at the same spot the next day. He had a plan that would be sure to add fuel to the fire in this conflict.

The Moon
Minako left to try and learn what was happening on Earth, taking Urami with her. She convinced the woman to keep a lid on Gowen's identity, promising to tell all once it all sunk in with Yahara. She then ventured to the press room.

It took her a full two hours to figure out what was going on thanks to the broken communications systems and another four to handle the journalists. She fell asleep to get at least a little nap in after calling the other Senshi and letting them know what was happening.

She awoke the next day to discover that the Palace's power was no longer working, thanks once again to an order from Alemand and the Watchers in Central Intelligence. It came on a few minutes later, and they all discovered that communications were up and running again.

A half hour later, the airwaves were filled with Alemand and his announcement that a bomb would go off in twelve hours if the Senshi did not step down. Minako immediately transformed, preparing for the worse, and placed a call to Setsuna.

The Earth
Setsuna picked up immediately and was briefed by Minako on what was happening. She then discovered what was going on with the undercover mission. A loud argument ensued, which was doused by Michiru who is in desperate need of a nap in spite of the fact that with a concussion, this might not be a good idea. Anyway, she told everyone to go and search for the bomb. Chenoa, who had arrived back some time earlier to tell them about what's going on in the Moon Kingdom, split them up, sending Kodia and Haruka to the mission, Setsuna and Joshua to the mall, and herself and Hotaru to the Auditorium. Heion stayed behind to watch over Michiru who shouldn't be sleeping, but is anyway.

Meanwhile, the Revolutionaries called a meeting where Alemand convinced them that what he did was not crazy or stupid, but a good thing. Garrett still had reservations about the sabotage and the deaths of the Senshi, and he left. Alemand brought up the possibility of him being a traitor, which Lyda took great offense to. She goes after Garrett and the two get into an argument about the situation. Lyda ran off in tears.

Lyda went back to the Mall, where she stupidly left her cursed child alone with a police officer. After picking her up, Alaina recognized Setsuna and Joshua as they arrive. After panicking for a few minutes, Joshua spotted her and she took off running, praying that they will not discover Alaina's curse.

The Moon
After talking with Setsuna, Venus hung up and ran into Rei and Jadeite who were on their way to see Lady Serenity, Hikari, and Urami off. When they arrived, those three as well Kunzite were present. They prepared to leave, when Hikari noticed a riot outside. Venus rather foolishly decided to handle it herself and left the room. Hikari, Urami, and Lady Serenity departed soon after.

Meanwhile, while everyone was busy, a palace maid received a call from Neo-Rome. She was also in cahoots with the Revolution. She messed with all of the balcony rails so that the slightest amount of pressure will cause them to topple and whoever leaned against them to fall.

After leaving the group in the Training Room, Venus went to calm the riot and handle the reporters with four guards at her side, two of which are in league with Alemand. She calmed them long enough to get her speech out, but it soon escalated. Two of the guards become preoccupied with keeping the people back, while the other two conveniently find themselves occupied when a rock nearly hits Venus in the head. She once again tried to reason with them, but was pelted with a variety of vegetables for her trouble.

She went back inside and cleaned up. Then she got a call from Endymion, who had no idea what was going on. Venus went to go brief him and was spotted by her most trusted advisor, Shinpai, who is also a Revolutionary. She called Alemand and gave him Minako's cell phone number. He called Venus's phone after she conveniently finished her explanation. Before she could get much out, Endymion demanded the phone…

As Alemand is hoping that Endymion has a tendency to walk when he talks.
