Chapter 04: The Ancient Family and General Jadeite

After Hebi left the Senshi started to scatter. Minako was the first as she ran off to her room, Yahara and Artemis not far behind her. Chenoa started looking around and saw that Michiru, Haruka, Rei, Hikari and Neo Queen Serenity were also beginning to leave, lost in their own thoughts. Setsuna soon walked out of the room as well, and the younger Senshi all seemed to be talking to each other. Chenoa hadn't seen Ami all day but just figured she had been busy with everything going on and the new hospital that was suppose to open on the Jupiter Moon Europa in the next few months.

As Chenoa continued to look around in silence, Kodia spoke up, "Love, I am going take Heion over to the Castle so she can play with the new pet we got her."

Chenoa just nods as Kodia and Heion leave.

Heion was excited about the prospect of getting a pet, and talked her father's ear off all the way down to the Castle. Once he led her into the room where her pet was being kept, she learned that she had been given, of all things, a wolf cub who was currently tearing apart the room he had been occupying. She admonished him for doing so, and was not at all surprised when he talked back. She was the daughter of an Ancient, and frankly she expected no less.

She also quickly learned that she was probably going to have a lot of fun with this new pet... With a name like Itazura, which translated into mischief, what else could she expect?

At the same time, Chenoa had decided to go for a swim in the Sea of Tranquility to put her mind at ease. Unfortunately, she swam out too fair and even her great strength could not resist the inherent calming powers of the Sea... They were so calming in fact, that she began to feel as if she would much rather fall asleep out there in that ocean than swim back to shore. She soon began to sink beneath the waves... Drowning...

And in one of the oddest twists of the season, Jadeite happened to arrive on the moon at precisely the right time at precisely the right place. While he didn't particularly care about the person, whoever she was, drowning out in the sea, he felt that he was going to have to save her. After all, it would look rather strange if he didn't do something. And his plan was to become attached to the lady in question, Mars, and woo her as necessary under an assumed name. If he was discovered here, just watching her die, it might look suspicious, so in the end he did do the noble thing and save her.

Unfortunately, Rei did happen to come along at that moment, along with Setsuna and Hikari. Seeing Chenoa in her underwear with him hovering over her did not paint a good picture. Thus he was accused of doing several things that he did not do, so the idea of a good first impression was lost anyway.

Then she stopped as she began to recognize him... And a scream caught in her throat.

Jadeite, who to the others is Johnathon, decided that it would probably be a good idea to take his leave then, but Chenoa raises the question of Rei's knowing him. Rei has to admit, he does look awfully familiar. In fact he looks an awful lot like Jadeite. And with her recent dreams... She has to know just what is going on. So she called after him, apologizing for being hasty and jumping to conclusions. She then introduces herself... And Jadeite just stares at her for a few moments. he had not recognized her right off, and this information simply stunned him into silence.

"Well if you are going to be rude and just stare at me, then you can just keep walking! I don't have time to exchange words with a jackass like yourself!" Rei then did an about-face and swung her hair around. As she did that, a flash of a memory slid through her conscience.

Princess Mars stomped up to the blond haired man in front of her. "Do you know who I am? How dare you speak to me as if you are familiar with me. I am too important to stand here and converse with a jackass as yourself. You sir have no manners!" She then turned on her heel and snapped her hair behind her shoulder and stormed off to the fire room to meditate.

Rei stopped dead in her tracks and turned around. Jonathan simply smiled at her in such a way that she almost wondered if he knew that she was going to do that. "I am sorry that my manner offended you." Jadeite said in the most honey downed tone he had. "I should have told you what was going on when you arrived, but I did not. So I am the only one to blame."

Jadeite bowed grandly to the lady before him and said, "Do allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Johnathon Digby, and let me say right here and now that if there is anything you should require, you need only ask."

Then he had to take his leave, begging off by saying that he had some business to attend to. But he says that he will return to see her again, on his honor. Then he leaves and returns back to the planet Chiron and Hebi. He cannot help be puzzled by the woman... But he knows who she is and that she will be more than useful in his plan to bring down the Moon Kingdom once and for all.
