As a matter of fact, that distraction that Minako craved was on earth at that very moment, holding her two friends' daughters kidnapped... And the Senshi didn't even know it yet. Both Samantha and Sarah were in bad shape, but both still tried to keep faith that their mothers and friends would rescue them soon. Sarah, however, believed that they ought to try to escape on their own. She continually attempted to convince Samantha of this, but the girl refused to listen. She thought if they even tried to escape it would mean their deaths, and also tried to convince Sarah of that. Sarah ignored her and suggested various plans, but none were good enough to get Samantha to agree. Finally, after much nagging on Sarah's part, Samantha gave in, though quite reluctantly. She insisted that they think things through carefully, though. She did want to live to see another sunrise... Since they couldn't transform, they wouldn't be able to blast their way out. Meanwhile, Circe, the leader of the shades who was currently inhabiting the tall, opposing form of a brunette with eyes that seemed almost coal black, returned to the abandoned warehouse in Crystal Tokyo where they were holding Sarah and Samantha captive. They had all inhabited the bodies humans in order to keep themselves disguised. Circe was obsessed with avenging their former leader, Void, and also with becoming permanently human. They merely appeared human now, and had once been human... She missed being truly human and would stop at nothing to achieve that. Bauchus, one of her underlings who had inhabited the form of an equally tall, well built man with dark black hair and reddish-brown eyes, was left to guard the two young senshi. He was none too pleased about this assignment or the fact that Circe wished for humanity. He reveled in the power of a shade, and was not about to give it up... When Circe came to check up on him and the captives, they began speaking. Bauchus insisted that they should kill the two girls, as was always his solution to any problem. Kill them and be done with it... That was the only reason why he wished to remain a shade. The ability to kill. Circe knew this and she also knew they must keep them alive if they want to regain their humanity... But of course, certain things prevented them from keeping the two girls well. The two shades went into the makeshift cell that held the girls. Samamtha and Sarah, believing they were actually humans who had come to rescue them, were overjoyed. The two quickly discovered that they are actually their captors when they were seized and their energy was drained, as was necessary for the Shades' survival. Samantha wondered why the shades needed to keep Sarah and her if they were so powerful, and she voiced her question. Bauchus, enraged that she even think such a thing, threw her across the room into a wall, berating her for her insolence. Circe stopped from him doing any further damage, angrily reminding him of how much they needed the two. Before she left the room she cautioned the two not to anger Bauchus again, telling them that she may not be there if he lost his temper again. Then Sarah asked why they needed the girls so desperately. Circe only told her to be grateful that they did, because the two would dead otherwise, and then left the cell. Meanwhile, in other parts of the warehouse, other shades returned from energy gathering... Sera returned to the warehouse feeling rather refreshed after night on the town. She loved the night life with a passion that no other shade could quite understand and that was always when she went out to gather hosts and energy. She had finally settled on a woman with curly blonde hair and blue eyes. A little cliche, but Sera had settled on it, only because Circe made her... She would have liked to continue staying a shade for always, but the other saw things differently. Sera voiced her opinion about Circe and her plans, neither of which she liked. That's when a low female voice called out from behind her, scaring Sera to death. She immediately mistook it for Circe, but when she turned she realized it was her lover, Morgana. Morgana too wanted to be human, but she cared not about avenging Void... She remembered what it was like to be human (although she didn't make this public knowledge to the others) and wished to return to it. Sera smiled slightly as Morgana stepped out of the shadows. She had required a human host much earlier, with jet black hair and honey brown eyes... She thought it seemed familiar and Morgana had murmured something about Sera not remembering... She couldn't recall what she had said, but it was no matter, "Morgana... Don't do that again..." "I'm glad you're back..." then Morgana's face fell when she noticed how lively Sera was acting, "I assume you found some good hosts..." Sera told her that she had, and reveled in the stupidity of humans and how she loved seducing them and then taking their energy before they got what they wanted. Morgana looked away, hurt, and Sera thought that the girl was jealous. She was, but Morgana was more upset that Sera had taken more energy then she needed. "And you never take enough," Sera returned sharply, "It's no wonder you never want to go out. You're too compassionate for your own good." she noticed Morgana was looking very hurt and ended it there, inquiring about the children. Morgana told her about Bauchus nearly killing them in front of Circe and how the woman had been less than pleased. Sera was happy about this, seeing as it would detract attention away from her. She had openly voiced how she did not like Circe's plans, and was subject to reprimand. Just then, Circe overheard and told Sera that she should not speak of her in such a way. She also let the woman know that if she did not do as Circe ordered, she would make her pay. Sera told her she understood and would do as she asked and then Circe left, leaving Sera to fume. As soon as she was out of ear shot Sera bared her teeth and hissed loudly, "No baka... She's such a fool..." Morgana covered her mouth with her hand and smiled gently, "Just keep your feelings to yourself all right? I don't want to see anything happen to you..." Sera nodded and removed her hand from her mouth, but still held onto it, "All right... Besides, she might take it out on you to get at me... There's no telling what she might do..." Sera shuddered slightly and then said, "You really ought to rest... You're weak since you refuse to drain the brats... Come on," The two started walking back to where they were staying in the back of the warehouse. they passed by the cell, and Sera thought she heard the two kids talking about escaping. She knew if they escaped, Circe would vent her anger on all of them... And on Morgana. Sera put her arm around the demi-woman, promising herself that she would go ahead with Circe's plans, if only to keep Morgana safe... Back where Sera and Morgana had just been, stood the host of Narcissus, another shade who had taken on the body of a red head with blue eyes. She regarded them darkly, calling them fools as she did with most. She was looking out only for herself, and also does not see why Circe would want to give up the power... She is determined to overthrow Circe and knows that Bauchus will indirectly help her... She looks over to him as he guards the two captives which will lure the senshi into their trap. Narcissus smiles darkly and says, "I know they are coming, and I will be waiting..." Submitted by: kerry - Hits: 0 Pages Updated On: 18-Jun-2008 - 09:28:56 |
