Chapter 13: Stolen by the Dark

After Heion's parents left for the meeting, Heion still slumbered, undisturbed by everything that had happened around her. She snuggles into the bed and slowly begins to have the visions her and her mother have been sharing.

Heion looked around her surroundings... Or at least tried to. It was all dark about her and she could scarcely see the hand in front of her, "Where am I?" she asked aloud, hoping someone was around to answer.

Suddenly a silhouetted figure begins to walk towards her. Heion stares at them, trying to figure out who it is if she knows them. Finally she timidly asks, "Who... who are you?"

The figure emerged from the fog to reveal a man who bore a slight resemblance to her father. Heion didn't recognize him any more than that and awaited his introduction, "I am your uncle, Heion. I am Sen'ou, Neo Queen Serenity's father.

That had answered one question... but there were many more to be answered yet, "Why am I here then?"

Sen'ou, who was still a distance away from her, looked at the girl kindly and said, "You and your mother are going to be facing some troubled times in the near future Heion. And you must be aware of things. You will grow up to be a mighty warrior, when it is time,"

Heion walked over to him carefully, trying to get a better look. She studied him for a moment and with each step he looked more and more like her father... Finally she looked up into his eyes and asked, "You look just like daddy. Are you his brother?"

Sen'ou nodded and said, "Yes I am. I am your father's brother."

Heion is still confused as to why she is there, despite all of what Sen'ou has told her. She is about to press further, when she saw another figure starting to walk towards her. She looked up at Sen'ou curiously and asked, "Who is that?"

Sen'ou smiled slightly and said, "That is the Goddess of the Ancients,"

Heion is taken aback by his statement and said, "That can't be the goddess... Mommy is. I remember that,"

The Goddess came closer to Heion so that she could see what she looked like. She was very tall, dark complected with lavender eyes. She had long royal purple hair almost down to her ankles pulled back on the sides. She had the same white streaks in the front of her hair as Chenoa.

Heion was once again confused, "Why does she look so much like mommy?"

The goddess of the ancients answered instead of Sen'ou, "Because I am the same as your mother. I am the power your mother has," she bends down to Heion's level and warns, "You must make sure your mother is cautious."

Heion starts to ask why but everything goes dark... she rubs her eyes and through blurred vision sees that she is in the room she is staying in with her parents at the Lunar Palace. Just then, Chenoa burst into the room, tears streaming down her face. She ran to her daughter and threw her arms around her the tears coming faster...

Meanwhile, Circe, Nyx, and Narcissus eventually got to the Lunar Crystal Palace, and immediately drained the energy of several janitors, taking their clothes to be used for disguises. Narcissus began kicking one of the prone bodies, but Circe quickly stopped her and began walking.

Nyx shook his head as he and Circe walked ahead. He had taken on the body of a well built personal trainer with blue eyes and blond hair. He was almost like a male version of Sera, in the sense that he enjoyed the night life and found women very appealing (and easy to get with his charm). But aside from this, he actually wanted to help Circe become human to once again enjoy the pleasures of the flesh... And find true love once more along with that. He looked back at Narcissus for a split second and said, "Circe... was it really necessary to bring Narcissis along?"

Circe raised her eyebrows and asked if he would have rather she had brought Bauchus. He saw her point, realizing Bauchus is not much for stealth. Circe smiled, glad there is at least one under her command that she can trust.

The three walk on for a time, and eventually happen upon a maid coming down the hallway. Circe instructed Nyx to grab as she comes past and take her into the room on their right. He did so immediately, Circe and Narcissus trailing behind him, shutting the door. Circe began to question her about the whereabouts of the child Heion, but soon Narcissus took over, on the basis of . She threatens to kill the girl if she does not tell them what they want to know, and she quickly gives up their whereabouts, lest she die. Unfortunately, now that she told them what they wanted to know, she was of no use to them and Nyx drained her dry...

As they're coming out of the room, they very nearly run into Artemis, who is on his way to Minako's room. Then they quickly make their way down to where they know Heion is hiding. Circe instructs Nyx to card the corridor, and no sooner does she leave, then Kodia shows up...

Nyx pretends to run into Kodia, knocking the man to the ground in order to "distract and delay". Nyx makes an excuse about a plumbing hazard and tells Kodia it is not safe to be back there. Kodia is suspicious for one reason or another and asks Nyx to help him up. Kodia of course takes the opportunity to browse through his mind, and quickly discovers his intentions. He sends Nyx through a portal, sending him outside the palace, and knows that he must do something to prevent the kidnapping of his only child...

Seeing no other option, Kodia contacts Chenoa telepathically, telling her that someone was coming for Heion. Chenoa got the message immediately, and dared not to question its validity. She kept a hold on Heion and began to look for a way out, finding none and wishing for Peace to be at her side and for her powers to return to her.

It is then that Circe and Narcissus enter the room, saying that Kodia sent them... Chenoa immediately knows that something is wrong when they call Kodia by his name and not The Wise One or The Ancient, as the staff always does. Narcissus grows tired of this plan of action and demands the child. Circe realizes its useless to do anything other then go along with her and also begins to demand that Chenoa give her the child.

And for the first time, Chenoa feels fear. She can't fight them off with her non existent powers and she certainly can't let them take her only daughter... She also can't fight them without putting her down, but to do that would be to risk Heion's life and safety. Chenoa taunts them, telling them they;ll have to take Heion if they want her.

Narcissus runs forward, only to get a kick to her gut for her trouble. Chenoa grows cocky after the small success, temporarily forgetting Circe. Circe moves behind and begins to choke the woman, causing Chenoa to drop Heion. She pulls Circe's hands off of her throat and screams for Heion to run. Circe tackles Chenoa, pinning her to the ground. It is then that Chenoa realizes who Circe really is and wishes that she had the power of the empathy touch...

By some happy twist of fate, the mere thought of the power caused it to return to her. She drained a little of Circe's energy, weakening her grip on Chenoa. She then kicks the demon off of her, only to discover that Narcissus has scooped up Heion... Chenoa demands that Narcissus hand her over, but instead she begins to back out of the room... it is then that Kodia shows up, and now both parents are trying to get Heion back without any harm coming to her... And Chenoa doesn't realize that Circe's coming up behind her, and she isn't happy...

Circe stirs from the attack from Chenoa that sent her against the wall. She shakes her head slightly in order to clear her vision, and sees that while Narcissus now has the child, Kodia and Chenoa have her cornered. Both are understandably trying to retrieve their daughter before any harm befalls her.

Circe knows that Narcissus is in trouble slowly stands, making sure she does not make any noise which would alert Chenoa of her presence. She takes a stance directly behind the woman and screams, "Narcissus, move!"

Narcissus moves out of the doorway, moving past Kodia, who is far too preoccupied with the creature behind his wife. Chenoa slowly starts to turn around, but she isn't fast enough. Circe sends her Dark Blast attack at Chenoa, sending her flying into Kodia. The force of the attack combined with Chenoa's weight sends both of them into the opposite wall.

Circe screams for Narcissus and the two began running down the hallway. Narcissus does not lose grip on the child as they continue towards where they came in and their waiting shuttle...
