Chapter 19: Medical Ward Mayhem

After Kodia finishes contacting Pluto, he looks back to Chenoa and explains that he really should take her to the Med Ward for better attention. Chenoa is, as always, steadfast against going, saying she doesn't need any doctors. Eventually Heion convinces her mother to go, saying she'll remain with her if she is scared. Kodia scooped Chenoa up again, and carried her to the Med Ward.

When the family arrived, they found Makoto resting comfortably and speaking with the King and Queen who are also there. The Queen looks tired and worn out, and the King isn't saying much, hovering over Usagi worriedly. He only looks up to see Kodia entering, and they make eye contact, both knowing exactly what the other is going through.

Kodia sets her down on the bed on the other side of Makoto and kisses her gently as the medical personnel run over to check up on her. Heion asks her father if she can stay with her mother, and Kodia readily agrees. Then Kodia tells Chenoa that he has to leave and speak to the King and Queen for a time...

As he's moving over to the royal couple, he sees that Makoto is lying on the bed, her head wrapped in bandages. Kodia asks if its serious and Makoto shouts, "I keep telling everyone that I'm fine! I am more than capable of getting up and getting back to my duties."

The queen hears her, and Usagi will have none of that nonsense, "As you tried to do about 10 minutes ago when I arrived and you hit the floor from dizziness?" Usagi said with a raised eyebrow, causing Makoto to blush crimson, "Concussions are serious Makoto, what you need now is rest," then she smiled at her friend gently, to make sure she understands that she has the best of intentions, "Anyway you will get your chance to fight soon enough."

Then Kodia breaks in and tells them all of what he knows about their knew enemy thanks to the brief mind touch he had with Nyx. His last words send chills up and down everyone's spines, "They want the Crystal your majesty,"

Meanwhile, Chenoa has had about all she can take of being poked and prodded by doctors. She claims she can take care of herself, and does just that, cleaning and bandaging her wound. Then she and Heion migrate across the Med Ward to where Kodia is speaking to Mamoru, Usagi, and Makoto... Unfortunately she didn't make it. She began to feel light headed, and ended up falling again, taking several medical trays with her. Heion ran over to Kodia, frightened for her mother's well being.

Back in the corridors of the Lunar Crystal Palace, Artemis, Samantha, and Hotaru are still watching as Minako runs off, for one reason or another not following. Artemis sighed sadly and said, "It's worse than I thought. I am going to need some help and I know who may be able to help..." Then the three start heading for the Med Ward, Samantha picking Artemis up once she and Hotaru notice he's still hurt... They three enter the Med Ward just as Chenoa hits the floor.

Kodia quickly goes back over to Chenoa, telling her that she is too stubborn for her own good and she has got to let the doctors take a look at her before she kills herself. He laid her back down on one of the beds, ignoring Chenoa's grumbling. Then both he and Heion professed that they were not leaving her side until she was well... And they figured this way they might keep her in bed.

Artemis jumps off of Samantha's shoulder when he sees how bad Chenoa is, shaking his head as he moves closer to them, "I'm sorry I caused her to be weak. If I knew this would happen I would never have allowed it."

Chenoa weakly tells Artemis that he shouldn't feel guilty. he was near death, and would have died had Chenoa not helped him out. Kodia is quick to agree, and manages to sneak in a comment about Chenoa being stubborn.

Then Heion steps forward saying, "Artemis, mommy likes to help others. It's a good thing," then the small child laid hands on both the cat and her mother and said, "Mommy I want you to be better. And you too Artemis."

An astonishing amount of energy is formed around the three and then fills the entire medical wing. Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion come forward to see what is going on, with Makoto right behind them... Not that they realize this, because they'd order her back to bed if they had. Heion opened her eyes and the energy disappears. She looks around at the others and has a puzzled look on her face about what everybody is staring at... She only wanted them to be healed, and now they are.
