Chapter 20: Lost and Found

Back at the prison of Alcatraz, Uranus is less than pleased at all that is going on. She is in fact, growling. Neptune is worried and quickly asks her what's wrong. Uranus growled again and muttered, "Everything possible just HAS to happen to keep me from finding m daughter, doesn't it?"

Neptune sighed and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder, saying, "Listen, Haruka, I know you're worried about Sam, and so am I. But I'm sure things will end up ok in the end... they always do. Right?" Neptune flashes an encouraging smile at Uranus, but it doesn't seem to do the trick...

"Ya easy for you to say... You're not her mother," she mutters bitterly.

Neptune stares at Uranus like she's been slapped across the face, taken aback by her lover's words, "No... But I AM her godmother..."

Uranus is about to reply to the Senshi of the Seas when her communicator beeps. She growls, annoyed with being interrupted and answers the call only to shut the stupid thing up. She flips it open and snarls, not even bothering to pay attention to who's calling, "What?"

Samantha is a little unnerved by her mother's reaction, but then shrugs it off, used to her mother's mood, "Mom? Mom? Its me... Sam?"

Uranus gasps as she recognizes both Samantha's voice and her face, feeling overjoyed that the girl is alive and well, "Sam?! Is it really you?"

Samantha giggled a little at her mother's reaction and said, "Yes mom, its me... I'm at the palace."

Uranus wanted to tell Samantha that she loved her, that she was ecstatic that she was safe, that she had missed her, that she would be back at the palace as soon as she possibly could, but she was just too stunned and overwhelmed to say any of that. All she could manage was to stutter out a simple, "Okay,"

That seemed to indicate closure to Samantha and she said good- bye to her mother. Once again, all Uranus could manage was 'Okay'. Uranus closes the communicator, looking back to Neptune with a look of pure euphoria on her face. Neptune smiles and hugs Uranus fiercely, saying, "See Haruka! What did I tell you?"

"Thank heavens she's all right..." Uranus whispered. Suddenly, she pulled away from Neptune, the happy look on her face, distinctly absent, "You know I have to go back and see her."

Neptune tries to make her stay, saying that they need her here. But Uranus reminds her that all they have to do is find Sarah, and they have more than enough senshi there to do that. She then asked if Neptune wants to come with her, saying she is her Godmother...

Only just then Diana arrives and informs them that the shuttle has been sabotaged.

Once again, Uranus is not happy, "Grrrrrrr... WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE SHUTTLES ARE DAMAGED?! Oh great. It's one thing after another isn't it? Why don't we just go ahead and damage every form of transportation after another?"

Diana is taken aback by Uranus' outburst, although she really should have been expecting it. Uranus thought about taking her anger out on the nearest person possible, but instead she stormed off, calling out, "Leave me alone," she spun around and growls, "And if anyone follows me, I'll take my sword and split them half. You get me?!" the rest of the senshi, fearing for their lives nod, causing Uranus to smirk with self satisfaction, "Good..." Uranus then continues on, and takes her anger out on nature in general. She slashes at just about everything in sight, until a very good portion of the small forest on the island has been destroyed. Then she decides she had better go back and take care of the punk who thought it was funny to damage the shuttles...

Uranus did manage to do one good thing though. Sailor Orchid had nearly run into her when she was searching for the rest of her group when she saw Uranus destroying nature. Not wanting to be killed along with all of her beloved plans, she hid behind a very large tree BEHIND Uranus, hoping she didn't turn around. Finally, Uranus started to head back and Orchid deemed it a good idea to follow... From a distance.

Back at the Palace, Samantha easily got bored and she also began to worry about her mother and godmother and all her friends on Earth. She knew that they were all on Alcatraz again, and saw no reason why she shouldn't go down there. So she hopped on a shuttle and flew it to the Island Prison...

Uranus heard another shuttle land, not realizing it was her daughter, and was elated, "Great! Now it is time for me to go home!" she smiled and ran towards the shuttle, passing the other senshi on the way. When she reaches the shuttle, she is so surprised at what she sees, that she stops abruptly and falls on her butt. However, she quickly pops up and takes her daughter into a tight hug... Or death grip.

Samantha enjoys it as long as possible, but sadly she does have that annoying need to breathe. She quickly tells her mother that she is being asphixiated, and Uranus releases her only to keep from killing her daughter. Uranus suddenly scoops up Samantha, like she did when she was small, and runs up to Michiru and gives her a big kiss. She then grabs her arm and literally drags her in to the shuttle. Still holding on to Samantha, she sits down and smiles, "I'm ready,"

Michiru's only reaction is the infamous sweatdrop.
